Led by Namulau'ulu Nu'uali'i Eteroa Lafaele and Julia Pahina from Fibre Fale, this hands-on session is designed to empower whānau with the skills, knowledge and confidence to navigate AI — no tech jargon, no gatekeeping, no barriers. In this workshop you'll learn what AI actually is and how it works, explore how AI is already showing up in everyday life, discover how to use AI tools like ChatGPT with confidence, and learn practical prompting skills to get meaningful results. You'll leave with a solid foundation in Artificial Intelligence and the tools to apply it in your daily life, work or business — grounded in Pacific values and built for our communities.

Wānanga Whakaora – Rongōā Māori

A hands-on rongōā Māori workshop grounded in tikanga and wairuatanga. Participants will learn how to identify and harvest kawakawa respectfully using traditional tikanga — understanding maramataka (best times to harvest), sensing the mauri of plants, and practising sustainable harvesting. The session culminates in making a Kawakawa + Mānuka + Peppermint healing oil (headache and mamā oil), guided step-by-step through a gentle heat infusion process with karakia woven throughout.

Kia Pīata Mai te Reo – Te Reo Māori Workshop

A short, interactive te reo Māori workshop designed to support whānau in building confidence, learning practical everyday reo, and feeling inspired to continue their haerenga reo Māori. Open to all levels — beginner through to confident kaikōrero. Delivered twice in the afternoon (1:00pm–1:50pm and 2:00pm–2:50pm) to two mixed-level rōpū.
